Birubi-Warriewood Cadet Weekend

Successful Cadet Weekend!!

On Friday, October 11th, our Birubi cadets had the opportunity to meet with Warriewood SLSC cadets during their annual cadet camp at Anna Bay. Together, we engaged in essential dry proficiency training, practicing vital skills such as CPR, defibrillator use, and signals. This joint training experience proved to be incredibly beneficial for our cadets, enhancing their skills and fostering camaraderie with fellow lifesavers.

The following day, Saturday 12th Oct, we hosted an exciting youth day for our members aged 12 to 17. Participants enjoyed a tasty hotdog lunch, played a lively group spikeball game, and engaged in fun team-building activities. The day was capped off with an inspiring talk from former elite athlete Francis Cullimore, who shared valuable insights and motivation.

We look forward to organizing more events and a youth camp in the upcoming season, aiming to create even more opportunities for our youth and cadet members to connect and thrive!
