Building skills for life!

Cadet group gain resuscitation certification under the guidance of our dedicated Education Team.

The Sunday just gone(16Feb25)marked a significant milestone for our young cadets as thirteen talented individuals from our U13 and U14 nipper’s groups proudly completed their resuscitation certification. This hands-on training was not just about learning techniques; it was about equipping these future lifesavers with essential skills that can make a difference in critical moments, both in surf life-saving and everyday life.Under the expert guidance of our dedicated trainers, Steve and Lauren, the cadets engaged in practical exercises that included CPR and the use of a defibrillator. They practiced their skills on manikins, gaining confidence and understanding of the life-saving procedures they may need to employ in real-life situations. The atmosphere was filled with enthusiasm as each cadet took turns, demonstrating their newfound knowledge and supporting each other in the learning process. The importance of these skills cannot be overstated; they are crucial not only in surf life-saving but in countless scenarios we encounter daily. Knowing how to respond effectively during emergencies can be the difference between life and death. Today’s training instilled a sense of responsibility and empowerment in our young cadets, reinforcing the idea that they have the ability to make a real impact in their communities.
