President Rohan attended the SLSA Awards of Excellence held last Saturday (9Nov) in Sydney. Birubi were in the running for the SLSA Innovation award for our contribution to the Dusk Patrol program run over peak times last season. Birubi was one of 3 clubs Australia wide that were nominated for the award.

Unfortunately, Birubi didn't win on the night, but were certainly recognised for our efforts, comments from the Hunter Director of Lifesaving:

"Well done to all involved. It was a very successful program that achieved everything it aimed to and more."
