Dusk Patrols Making a Difference

For the second season running Dusk Patrols were in place at Birubi over the busiest weekends of the season.

Dusk patrols making a difference in more ways than one. Over the busiest weekends of the season Dusk Patrols were in place at Birubi, starting at 5pm, overlapping the Birubi patrol until 6pm, when the flags came down, then calling it a day between 7:30-8pm. The majority of our visitors were more than happy leaving the water at flags down, after being educated around the dangers of being in the water with no flags up(at the end of the regular Birubi Patrol). Some visitors who came along the next day made sure they were there well before flags down time, ensuring they were "looked after"!!!

Dusk Patrols consisted of members the the Hunter Support Operations Team (Duty Officer, UAV Pilot, RWC Operator, and a Bronze Holder.)

The following from our club put their hands up:

Rohan Fisher

Greg Williams

Callum Mercer

Mick Denahy
